The order E is best walked in on its own, with no destination to follow.

As an Order, fastest axis first: that of its memory. A view's is its mapping's, a tensor's its order, an element-wise expression's that of its first operand with one. Generators and scalars have no memory and no preference: void, unless a node says otherwise.
